Carbon Vanes
Carbon vanes are made of graphite impregnated with resins. This material has the following characteristics:
SELF-LUBRICANT
Carbon graphite impregnated with resin is the ideal vane material for pumps working in vacuum conditions
or with liquids which have a poor lubrication. Even in applications without self-lubrication requirements, our
graphite vanes give a soft polish in the cylinder wall, and this reduces the vanes wear index.
CHEMICALLY INERT AND NON-TOXIC
The graphite impregnated with resin does not pollute the liquids or gases with which it’s in contact. It can be
used safely in food processing machinery or in other fields where the purity is required.
CHEMICAL AGENTS RESISTANT
Graphite vanes are chemically resistant against most agents, especially in corrosive and aggressive environments.
HIGH MECHANICAL RESISTANCE
One of the main requirements for the vanes material is the mechanical resistance.
The graphite vanes, due to their properties, can resist pressures from
3,2 Kgf/cm2 and speeds up to 12.7 m/seg.
Applications
Carbon vanes are used for many purposes
but typical applications would be:
-
Compressors and dry running vacuum pumps
-
Printing industry
-
Spray Paint equipment
-
Packaging machines
-
Processing food machinery
